What follows is the schedule for classes running January, February and March. I will add photos when I have them. And as per usual, we will be running some "Special Guest" classes; more information about these can always be found on the Main Blog.

If you ever have any class suggestions, please send them my way: lisakercher[at]gmail[dot]com

Valentine's Canvas Hanger
Saturday, February 6th
10 am to 11:30am

In this class we are making a fun love-themed canvas hanger just in time for Valentine's Day using some fun fabric products from Prima and Pink Paislee. And just in case you want to give this special project to a special someone, Lisa will show you how to make a fun Valentine with some of the latest pink and red embellishments hitting the stores!

Students should bring:
- scissors
- a photocopy of a photo of a loved one, or your, or a beloved place, etc. It can be colour OR black and white. Size should be less than or equal to 4x4 (you can print a larger size and trim it down in class). We will be using a transfer technique to put this photo onto a piece of sticky back canvas, so I don't want to see any original photos!

Techniques and Trends Covered:
1. Fabric scrapbooking
2. Using Iron Ons by Donna Downey
3. Transferring a photo onto sticky back canvas to use on a layout or project
4. Using a dry-brush technique with stamping ink and a mask to create a unique background

Price: $20 (+GST)
Member's Price: $17 (+GST)

Ranger Technique Class
Saturday, February 27th
10am to 12:30pm

I have seen many a customer stop in front of our Ranger products, drool a little, then move right along! The colours are so amazing, but the products can be a little intimidating! In this class Lisa will demystify some of the more popular Ranger products and help you create three beautiful layouts.

Techniques and Trends Covered:
1. Using a multitude of wet media on your scrapbooking layouts (crackle paint, acrylic paint, alcohol ink, Colour Wash, etc.)
2. Using masks and spray ink to create interesting backgrounds
3. Make your own embellishments with embossing powder and Grungeboard

Price: $45 (+GST)
Member's Price: $38.25 (+GST)

Altered Canvas
***EDITED***the class date has been changed from Tuesday to Thursday...I accidentally double-booked myself!
Thursday, March 18th
6 - 8pm

Because of the popularity of the last session of this class, I am running it again. I get so many compliments and questions about my little girl altered canvas displayed in the store, that I've decided to teach you all how to make one just like her!

Please bring:
- Apron or old shirt to protect your clothes
- Old gift card or expired credit card
- Write a letter to yourself. It doesn't have to be fancy or anything. We are going to create our background over it, so you probably won't be able to read it anyways!

Some things you will learn:
1. Paper collage
2. Different paint techniques
3. Using Glimmer Mist to make a background
4. Adding 3D Ephemera to a canvas
5. Altering & decorating a chipboard shape

Price: $35 (+GST)
Member's Price: $29.75 (+GST)
